Opera, as an art form, portrays human emotions at their zenith…their most intense. Fear, anxiety, sorrow, joy, happiness, hopelessness, hope and love…things ALL humans experience. Orchestra, visceral human voices and intense emotion fuse together in an acoustic environment to create a transcendent experience for the audience. We all share the HUMAN CONDITION. Sometimes we need to be transported to a different time, a different place or a different culture to remind us of that simple truth. When an audience gathers in fellowship and experiences a live performance together, it has a unifying effect on our community.
